Labubu Original: Where to Buy a Genuine One and What It Costs

Pop Mart's US help page says products bought through its official website, official stores, ROBOSHOP machines and other authorized online platforms are guaranteed authentic and verifiable. It does not name those platforms. Pop Mart's US court complaint says its official online channels include the Pop Mart app and popmart.com.

The official app on Google Play is called POP MART, package com.popmart.global, from Pop Mart Hong Kong Limited. Pop Mart's website has country versions, such as popmart.com/us for the US and popmart.com/gb for the UK. Start from the version for your country, and type the address yourself. Pop Mart's interim results of 20 August 2026 report 676 stores and 2,827 roboshops at 30 June 2026.

A platform name is not enough on its own. Pop Mart's 2025 results confirm an official presence on the platforms they name, not that every seller there is official, so look for Pop Mart's official store by name. The last two rows of the table come from the press and a consumer group, not from Pop Mart's filings. EU Safety Gate records describe counterfeits sold through large marketplaces, each record about one product.

No public list was found on 2 November 2026. Pop Mart's app listing on Google Play mentions 700+ authorized retailers and online platforms, but it publishes no list, and its store counts look out of date.

In the USA and Canada only, Pop Mart's Contact page has a separate Infringement Report and Authorization Verification channel. Its name suggests it is the place to ask whether a seller is authorized.

A letter of authorization is not proof. Pop Mart's 2024 annual report says it identified more than 10 forged authorization letters that year.

A reseller is not the same as a fake. Pop Mart's US terms let it limit or refuse orders that appear to come from dealers, resellers or distributors. That limits bulk buying from Pop Mart. It says nothing about whether a reseller's goods are fake.

These are prices of the Labubu products read for this guide on Pop Mart's US store on 2 November 2026. Other Labubu lines have their own prices. Prices change, and they differ by region. Pop Mart says a whole set contains no duplicate designs.

A low price is a warning sign, not proof. The US CPSC, in its warning of 18 August 2025, lists deep discounts as a sign of a fake. CHOICE, the Australian consumer group, paid AUD 8 to 25 for its five fakes. Sixth Tone, a news site based in China, says close replicas cost about 60 yuan there and rough copies 20 to 30 yuan, against 99 yuan and up for genuine toys.

A full price proves nothing either. ABC News reports real boxes resealed around fakes, and a fake in a real box can be sold at the real price.

Rare editions can cost far more. BBC News reported in May 2025 that rare editions went for hundreds of pounds on resale sites. NOS said in August 2025 that more exclusive models cost up to hundreds of euros. No reliable figure for a resale premium was found, so this guide gives no price floor or premium.

Pop Mart's US shopping policy says blind boxes are sold as sealed, randomized units, and that it does not take requests for specific designs. It says secret figures are given out by probability, with rates on the product page or the packaging, and that a secret is not guaranteed unless stated.

Pop Mart's UK and Singapore FAQs say designs are usually shown on the side of the box with the odds of finding each one. CHOICE says the odds of a secret range from 1 in 72 to 1 in 168 boxes. Pop Mart's own rates by series were not confirmed for this guide.

A whole set has no duplicate designs. Pop Mart's complaint gives an example: in a series of seven toys, a whole set holds six of the seven, and each box stays blind. Pop Mart's Hong Kong FAQ says that if a whole set contains a secret, the secret replaces one regular design at random. Pop Mart's US returns page says duplicates are normal when you buy boxes that do not make a whole set. If a whole set arrives with duplicates, Pop Mart resends the missing items once it has verified the problem.

So a seller who offers a named design in a box that is still sealed should explain how they know which design is inside.

No seller check proves that a doll is genuine. These steps lower the risk.

BBB says its Scam Tracker received dozens of reports from people who thought they were buying real Labubu dolls, and it warns of fake sites and sponsored ads. Report counts differ by date: more than 70 by 6 August 2025, according to the US station KLTV, and more than 100 by 26 August 2025, according to The New York Times.

A BBB spokesperson in Wichita warned in December 2025 of fake websites that deliver nothing, as the US station KWCH reported. Pop Mart's 2024 annual report says it took down the domains of 5 overseas sites selling infringing goods that year, across all its characters.

The safe route: type popmart.com yourself. On Google Play on 2 November 2026, the POP MART app came from Pop Mart Hong Kong Limited. The App Store listing was not checked for this guide. On that date, hosts confirmed as Pop Mart's included popmart.com, m-gss.popmart.com and q.popmart.com. This guide lists no fake sites, because none was verified.

Kasing Lung's own website says he was born in Hong Kong in 1972 and began The Monsters story series in 2015. It says figures under that title were released from How2Work. How2Work, founded in 2001 by its own account, lists The Monsters mini figure sets in its Hong Kong web shop. ABC News and the Dutch broadcaster NOS date his partnership with Pop Mart to 2019.

So a genuine How2Work figure is an original Monsters figure, but it is not a Pop Mart product. Do not assume Pop Mart's code check covers it, and do not treat a missing Pop Mart code on it as proof of a fake.

Pop Mart's US after-sales policy applies only to orders from its online store, physical stores and robot stores. For orders from third-party platforms or retail distributors, it sends you to the original seller or to customer service.
