Pandora Authentication
Pandora guarantees authenticity only for pieces from its authorized retailers. A jeweler can test the metal. Vereev reviews photos of the whole piece.
Unsure about a Pandora piece? Send photos for an independent review.
Direct answer
Pandora says it can only guarantee the authenticity of pieces bought through its authorized retailers, and it does not authenticate jewelry from unauthorized or online retailers. A jeweler can test the metal, but that does not show who made the piece. For an independent opinion on the piece itself, send guided photos to Vereev. AI assists, human experts decide, and tokens are refunded if the photos cannot support a conclusion.

How to approach Pandora authentication
Match the design
Look for the same design in Pandora's catalog, as the retailers Grace & Co, Gift & Wrap and Azuline suggest. A missing listing is not proof.
Look at the core, clasp and finish
The right core depends on the range. Pandora describes a threading system on some bracelets and silicone grips in some charm ranges. Signs for clasps and finish come from retailers and a style blog, not from Pandora.
Read the marks as a first check
Pandora lists ALE plus S925, G585 or G750. It says some of its smallest pieces have no ALE, and quality marks on pieces made before June 2011 show numbers only. It also says the marks alone do not guarantee a piece is genuine.
Take sharp photos
Photograph every mark you can find, the inside of the charm hole, the clasp and the stones, in soft light.
Photo guide
Photos to take of your Pandora jewelry
The Vereev app's photo guide for jewelry lists these 4 angles, and the numbers on the drawing match the list.
Main Item
Capture the whole piece clearly against a plain background.
Stamp
Show hallmarks, metal stamps, serial marks, engraving, or logo details in sharp focus.
Box
Include the box, pouch, card, or receipt if available.
Packaging
Photograph packaging materials, labels, and included accessories.
Follow the same angles in the app
The Vereev app shows a sample photo for each angle when you submit Pandora jewelry. Sharp, same-item photos give the reviewer the evidence this page describes; packaging and documents help when you have them.

What to review on Pandora items
Who can authenticate a Pandora piece?
Nobody can give you the whole answer alone. Pandora vouches only for what its authorized retailers sold. A metal test shows the metal. A photo review gives an opinion on the piece. Use the table to pick the route that fits your question.
| Route | What it can tell you | What it cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Receipt from an authorized retailer | Pandora says it can only guarantee the authenticity of products bought through authorized retailers. This is the strongest evidence you can hold. | It cannot show that a resold piece is the one on the receipt, and Pandora says items resold from private collections have no warranty. |
| Pandora itself | Its Brand Protection team takes reports of suspected fake sellers, but Pandora says it cannot reply to every email. | Pandora says it does not authenticate jewelry bought from unauthorized or online retailers. The wording does not say if authorized webshops are excluded. |
| A Pandora store | Unconfirmed. We found no written policy on store checks, so ask your store. | We cannot say that a store will or will not check your piece. |
| Jeweler or assay office | The metal. In the UK, Birmingham Assay Office tests items with X-ray fluorescence before hallmarking, and Assay Office London mainly uses the same method. | The maker. A metal test shows what the metal is, not who made the piece. |
| Vereev photo review | An independent expert opinion on the whole piece, from your photos. | Metal purity, which no photo can test. The result is not a Pandora certificate. |
How a Vereev check of a Pandora piece works
You photograph the piece in the Vereev app with a guided photo checklist. If you already have an account and tokens, you can also order on the website at www.vereev-ai.com/authenticate.
Search for Pandora in the app. If your version of the app does not list it yet, type the name Pandora and continue. Requests use tokens, and the app shows the cost before you confirm.
AI assists and human experts decide. A reviewer may ask you for more photos. The result is Authentic, Replica, or a statement that the photos cannot settle it. If the photos cannot support a conclusion, the tokens are refunded.
Authentic and replica results get a digital E-Result with a certificate and a QR link. Anyone can check that link at www.vereev-ai.com/verify. Vereev is independent. It is not Pandora, and it does not issue Pandora certificates.
Which photos to take of your Pandora
The Vereev jewelry guide asks for four shots: the whole piece, the stamp or hallmark, the box, and the packaging. The box and packaging are only needed if you have them.
A Pandora piece needs a few more. Pandora does not say where its marks sit. GoodStone, a US jeweler that sells its own fine jewelry, says marks are small and tucked away, such as on a clasp or inside a ring band. So look everywhere and add the shots below. Our real vs fake guide has a numbered map of where to look.
- Every mark you can find, straight on and in focus.
- The inside of each charm hole.
- Each stone, and any enamel.
- The clasp of a bracelet or necklace.
- Your receipt or order confirmation, if you have one.
- Use soft light. Step back and crop, because a phone held too close cannot focus.
What a photo review of Pandora cannot settle
A photo cannot test metal purity. For that, go to a jeweler or an assay office.
A photo review also cannot turn a mark into proof. Pandora says its markings do not guarantee a piece is genuine, and that copies can carry similar identifiers.
Some reference points are not public. We found no official weights, no official thread, clasp or hole specification, and no official serial number or QR lookup. Some variation is also normal, because Pandora says every piece is hand-finished and that no two Murano charms are the same. That is why a result can say the photos cannot settle it.
What to do if you think your Pandora is fake
Start with the seller or the marketplace. Use its return route and buyer protection, and check the time limit. Keep the listing, your messages, the receipt and your photos.
Then report it. Pandora asks people to report suspected fake sellers to its Brand Protection team, in English. It asks where you bought the piece or saw it advertised, a link, photos of the product, and your receipt or the ad. Use its page called Reporting brand and product violations, in the Brand protection part of pandoragroup.com. Pandora says it cannot answer every email, but that it will follow up and take legal action if appropriate.
Pandora says counterfeiting is a criminal offense in most countries. We cannot give legal advice. For your rights as a buyer, ask a consumer body or a legal professional in your country.
Model-specific checks
Most-searched Pandora models
Compare each piece with references for the same version, size, and period. These are the details a reviewer photographs and compares first.
Pandora Moments bracelets
Pandora reports that Moments made up 61% of its 2025 revenue, so it was the largest collection that year. Pandora Ireland's warranty page, in a copy saved on 9 September 2025, referred to a unique threading system on the bracelet, and said counterfeit charms or charms from other brands could damage it.
Check and photograph
- The clasp and any marks on it
- The threading on the bracelet
- Your receipt or order confirmation
Charms and Murano glass
Cores differ by range. Grace & Co, a UK retailer that calls itself a Pandora stockist, says genuine charms are often threaded inside. Pandora described silicone grips inside its 2013 ESSENCE COLLECTION charms and its 2018 Reflexions clip-on charms. Pandora also says each Murano piece is shaped by hand and no two are the same, so glass can vary.
Check and photograph
- The inside of the charm hole
- Any marks on the core
- Stones, enamel or glass up close
Rings
GoodStone, a US jeweler, says marks can sit inside the band. A 1stDibs seller lists a ring stamped with a number that may be its ring size, so a number on the band may not be a quality mark.
Check and photograph
- The inside of the band, straight on
- Each stone and its setting
- Any worn plating
Earrings
A 1stDibs expert answer says flimsy posts and uneven finishes can mark fake earrings. This is one marketplace's opinion, and we found no official specification.
Check and photograph
- Each earring from the front and the back
- The post and the earring back
- Any marks you can find
Plated lines: Shine, Rose, PANDORA ESSENCE and platinum-plated
What sits under the plating depends on the line and the date. Pandora Shine launched in March 2018 on a sterling silver core. A 2024 US page and a 2026 release describe gold plate over Pandora's metal blend and its EVERSHINE alloy. A platinum-plated pilot began in the Netherlands in July 2026. So do not expect S925 on every genuine piece.
Check and photograph
- Every mark, even if it is not S925
- Any worn areas
- The line name on the receipt or listing
Necklaces
No source we read gives a test made for Pandora necklaces. GoodStone, a US jeweler, says marks can sit on a clasp, so look there first. Then use the same checks as for any piece: the marks, the stones and where it was bought.
Check and photograph
- The clasp and any marks on it
- The pendant or charm, front and back
- Your receipt or order confirmation
Warning signs
When Pandora items need a closer look
Each sign is a reason to ask more questions or get an item-level review. None is a verdict on its own.
- The shop is not in Pandora's store locator or local partner list, in a market those lists cover. This is our reasoning from Pandora's lists, and it leaves the shop unverified, not proven fake.
- The listing says inspired by or Pandora-type. Gift & Wrap, a UK retailer, described this wording in 2015.
- The shop has good photos but no return policy or phone number, a pattern described by the UK retailer Grace & Co.
- The price is abnormally low on a marketplace or unknown site. The French jeweler Azuline says this generally points to counterfeits. Official outlets exist, so it is a warning only.
- The engraving is blurred, which Azuline and the style blog Apartstyle flag, or misspelled, which Apartstyle flags.
- Stones are poorly set, which Azuline flags, or cubic zirconia is lost soon after purchase, which Grace & Co flags.
- Enamel bleeds or looks flat, according to Apartstyle, which shows no photos or measurements.
- Welding marks are visible, as Azuline warns, or the shape is asymmetrical with rough edges, as Apartstyle warns.

Pandora authentication FAQ
Can Pandora authenticate my jewelry?
Pandora says it does not authenticate jewelry bought from unauthorized or online retailers, and that it can only guarantee the authenticity of products bought through authorized retailers. The wording does not say if authorized webshops are excluded. You can still report a suspected fake seller to its Brand Protection team.
Will a Pandora store check if my charm is real?
We could not confirm a store policy. Pandora's written policy says it does not authenticate jewelry bought from unauthorized or online retailers, and we found no written rule on store checks. Ask your local store before you go, and bring your photos and any receipt.
Is there a Pandora serial number or QR code check?
We found no official Pandora serial number or QR lookup. GoodStone, a US jeweler, says many charms and bracelets carry unique codes or design numbers, but no official page describes them. The QR link on a Vereev E-Result checks that Vereev result, not a Pandora code.
Does genuine Pandora come with a certificate of authenticity?
Azuline, a French jeweler, says a card or certificate comes only sometimes, and we found no Pandora statement that every piece has one. So a missing certificate is not a warning sign, and a certificate alone is not proof. A Vereev E-Result comes with Vereev's own certificate, which is not a Pandora certificate.
Can a jeweler tell me if my Pandora is real?
A jeweler can test the metal, but a metal test shows the metal, not the maker. A piece can be silver and not Pandora. Use a metal test for purity, and a review of the whole piece for the brand question.
How do I get my Pandora authenticated with Vereev?
Open the Vereev app and search for Pandora, or type the name Pandora if your version of the app does not list it yet. Follow the guided photo checklist, and confirm once you have seen the cost. AI assists and human experts decide, and a reviewer may ask for more photos.
What photos do I need for a Pandora legit check?
Take the whole piece, every mark you can find, the inside of each charm hole, the clasp and the stones. Add the box, packaging and receipt if you have them. Use soft light, and step back and crop instead of moving too close.
Is a Vereev result a Pandora certificate?
No. Vereev is independent, and it does not issue Pandora certificates. Authentic and replica results get a Vereev E-Result with a certificate and a QR link that anyone can check at www.vereev-ai.com/verify.
What happens if the photos cannot settle it?
The reviewer may ask for more photos. If the photos still cannot support a conclusion, the result says so and the tokens are refunded.
